Minister of Justice Bojan Božović and outgoing United States Ambassador Judy Rising Reinke assessed their cooperation as substantive and focused on concrete results.
This was announced today by the government department headed by Božović.
As stated in the statement, Božović met with Rising Rheinke today.
"During the meeting, they discussed the current cooperation between Montenegro and the United States in the areas of the rule of law, justice, and the fight against corruption," the statement said.
Božović, as stated, thanked Rising Rheinke for its personal engagement and continued support for reforms of the judicial system, strengthening the independence of institutions, and improving professional standards.
"The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation in the past period has been substantive and focused on concrete results, especially in the areas of strengthening the capacity of the judiciary, digitalization and international legal assistance. The Minister wished the ambassador success in her further diplomatic career and emphasized that Montenegro remains committed to a strategic partnership with the United States," the Ministry of Justice concluded in a statement.
