Representatives of the Montenegrin and Israeli parliaments signed a memorandum of cooperation that, as announced, defines the modalities of cooperation between parliamentary services in areas of mutual interest, such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and innovation.
The Parliament of Montenegro announced that a strategic partnership has been established with the Knesset of Israel, the aim of which is to modernize parliamentary work and strengthen cooperation with the most technologically advanced parliamentary institutions.
"As part of the official visit, the Secretary General of the Parliament of Montenegro, Boban Stanišić, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Director General of the Knesset, Edri Moshe," the statement said.
It is stated that the memorandum defines the modalities of cooperation between parliamentary services in areas of mutual interest.
"Such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, innovation, transparency of parliamentary procedures and practices, as well as budgetary autonomy of parliaments," the Parliament specified.
As they said, during the visit, Stanisic also met with Knesset Secretary General Dan Marzuk.
"The topics of discussion were parliamentary procedures and work organization, exchange of experiences and best practices in the functioning of the legislative process, as well as mechanisms for strengthening administrative capacities," the statement said.
At the meeting, as stated by the Parliament, specific cooperation activities for the coming year were agreed upon, including the exchange of members of the parliamentary administration.
"The delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro, led by Stanišić, also attended the plenary session of the Knesset, where they were officially welcomed by Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana," the statement added.
