Athens-based RTV SKAI reported today that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama "provocatively insulted Greeks and Montenegrins" during a panel discussion in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"As a Greek... you always underestimate others because you believe you have a monopoly on philosophy and that you are the direct heir of Plato and Aristotle, but you are not," Rama said, drawing laughter at the "Sustainability Week 2026" gathering in Abu Dhabi, SKAI reports.
In the same spirit, it is further said, Rama mocked Montenegro, saying: "Montenegro is the largest and most important country in the region, as if it had 50 million citizens: 'We are small, but Montenegro is everything'".
