The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has the support of 25,2 percent of Montenegrin citizens, the Coalition for the Future of Montenegro (ZBCG) 20,1 percent, the Europe Now Movement (PES) 19,1 percent, and Democratic Montenegro 9,2 percent, announced tonight Miloš Bešić, a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) in Belgrade.
As reported by the RTCG portal, he presented a public opinion survey by the Spektrum Analitika agency on TVCG.
When presenting the party ratings, Bešić stated that the turnout in the elections, if they were held now, would be 63 percent.
"DPS has support of 25,2 percent, For the Future of Montenegro 20,1, Europe Now Movement (PES) 19,1, Democratic Montenegro 9,2, European Alliance 5,7, Bosniak Party 5,6, Civic Movement URA 3,4, Socialist People's Party 2,6, Movement of People's Trust and Albanian Forum 1,9 each, FORCA 1,5, Preokret 1,4, Democratic Union of Albanians One, Croatian Civic Initiative 0,9 and Party of European Progress 0,6 percent," Bešić pointed out.
When this is compared to the latest research by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) from September last year, the data, according to Bešić, is relatively close.
Bešić says that the most confident voters are Democratic Montenegro voters, while the most unsure voters are the ZBCG Coalition voters.
Bešić explains that greater abstention would harm the ZBCG Coalition, and a low turnout would, as he says, suit the DPS the most.
Speaking about the situation of what would happen if the representatives of the ZBCG Coalition ran separately in the elections, the majority would vote for the Democratic People's Party (DNP).
He says that this data shows that a separate participation in the elections by two parties from the ZBCG Coalition - New Serbian Democracy (NSD) and the Democratic People's Party (DNP) - would endanger both, but that the DNP's rating is better.
But it also points to a portion of ZBCG voters who would not vote unless the NSD and DNP are in a coalition.
Presenting data on the number of respondents who would like to hold early elections, he says that 33,2 percent are interested in them. Interestingly, he says, the figure of 42,1 percent of those who would vote for the Bosniak Party in early elections is interesting.
