Democratic Montenegro councilor Željko Franeta called on the President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić, to convene a collegium in order to determine the date of the session of the Budva parliament.
The session of the Budva Municipal Assembly, which was scheduled for today, and whose agenda includes a citizens' initiative to repeal the detailed urban plans "Budva Center" and "Budva Center Amendments", has been postponed after there was no quorum at the scheduled assembly committees yesterday.
"In accordance with Article 34, paragraph 2 of the Rules of Procedure of the Budva Municipal Assembly, which reads 'A meeting of the Collegium shall be scheduled by the President of the Assembly, on his own initiative or at the proposal of the Councilors' Club', and in particular the provisions governing the scope and manner of work of the Collegium of the President of the Assembly, through this letter, on behalf of my councilors' club, I propose convening the Collegium of the President of the Assembly to consider and agree on the dates of the 11th session of the Assembly with the proposed agenda based on the citizens' initiative that has already been sent to you," Franeta stated in the letter and added:
"Regarding the aforementioned regulations, I propose that you convene the Collegium of the President of the Parliament to consider the proposed issues and the next procedural steps and, if you agree, invite the formal submitter of the citizens' initiative, Mr. Božidar Vujičić, to the same meeting.
"The norms of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, which you are obliged to respect, clearly provide the basis for making these decisions and their implementation, and therefore I expect you to respond to this proposal in accordance with your powers defined by the Rules of Procedure and other relevant acts," concluded Franeta.
