Laws must apply equally to everyone - both reflectors and collectors, said Boris Pejović, member of the PES presidency and Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, today.
According to him, the decision of the competent authorities of the Capital City to remove the reflector installed on the drainage channel of the Mareza River clearly shows that there must be no privileged people in Montenegro.
"In a society that aspires to become a full member of the European Union, the public interest must always take precedence over the interest of any individual. It is precisely the consistent application of regulations, without exceptions and improvisations, that represents the foundation of an orderly and functional system," Pejović emphasized.
He added that it is therefore important that all actors in society accept the reality that we are creating a state in which it is impossible to make compromises that are contrary to the law.
"Only such an approach can be a reliable guarantee that there will be no selective justice," concluded Pejović.
