Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Boris Pejović, in his unsuccessful attempt at rhyme and relativization, once again confirms that he is wisest when he does not advertise at all, said Democratic People's Party (DNP) spokesperson Jovana Todorović today.
She was reacting to a statement by Pejović, who earlier today, among other things, said that laws must apply equally to everyone – both reflectors and collectors.
"Because whenever he does that, he falls into a swamp of his own contradictions that it takes days for one of his party comrades to pull him out of. If the laws apply to everyone, as Boris Pejović said, we ask him by what law and city decision can one municipality work as a so-called collector on the territory of another municipality, with the assistance of 680 police officers who arrested an entire village?" Todorović said in a statement.
She invited Pejović to cite an example where one municipality built a collector on the territory of another municipality with the clear opposition of almost two-thirds of the citizens.
"By what law can Mayor Mujović and Police Director Lazar Šćepanović offer the citizens of Botun to be subcontractors at a location where the installation of a WWTP is planned against the referendum will of the citizens of Zeta and against the law? Does this mean that Mujović and Šćepanović are the winners of the tender and that the Turkish Kuzu Group is just a front? How is it possible that the Mayor of Podgorica and the Police Director offer subcontracting jobs to the citizens of Botun? While we wait for a response from Mr. Pejović, it might not be a bad idea to involve the prosecutor's office and verify these allegations," Todorović pointed out.
She said that they were asking Pejović "another simple question, would you agree that the Mojkovac municipality should build a collector in his Bijelo Polje, where he comes from?"
"Then the 'laws' would probably only apply to individuals, and the party portal whose informal editor is Mr. Pejović would do a festive interview with him. That's why we strongly recommend that Boris Pejović think about how Podgorica is flooded with protests, from the citizens of Botun, residents of the Zagorič forest park, and the locals of Donja Gorica, but these are still about individuals, not laws," Todorović concluded.
