The Center for Civic Education announced that from 2021 to 2026, there has been a continuous increase in allocations from the Budget for the Assembly.

"In 2021, it amounted to 8.777.429 euros, and in 2022 it increased to 9.995.499 euros, or 13,9 percent. In 2023, it reached 10.953.232 euros, and in 2024, it reached 11.390.643 euros. The largest jump was recorded in 2025 with 14.493.506 euros, or 27,2 percent more than the year before, while a new increase to 15.627.901 euros is planned for 2026, which is 7,8 percent more than the previous year," the CCE announced.

They point out that while funds for numerous key sectors are being limited or justified by "fiscal discipline", the Parliament's budget is continuously growing - 78 percent in five years, "without clear criteria, measurable effects and serious public debate".

"The key question remains: whether this kind of budget growth is accompanied by real progress in the accountability, transparency and quality of work of the highest legislative body," CCE states.
