Grgurović: Milorad Kadić is a man without a stain in his career

The President of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, Aleksandar Grgurović, stated in the response, strongly and without compromise denies the "inaccurate, offensive and extremely irresponsible" allegations from the show Vijesti at half past six on Television Vijesti from January 20, 2026, as well as the article published on the Vijesti portal under the title: "Twice arrested, now advising: Former President of the Municipality of Danilovgrad receives a monthly allowance of 700 euros."

"This title and the content of the text represent gross manipulation and open defamation. A man who dedicated his life to public service and the fight for a better society, Milorad Dudi Kadić, former Mayor and current councilor, is portrayed, at the very least, as a member of some criminal clan, in an extremely wrong context, which is completely incorrect and offensive!

The claim that the Municipality of Danilovgrad paid 93.216,45 euros for consulting services is pure manipulation and untruth!

When you work for the benefit of your city, when you achieve results, when you create new value, these kinds of texts attempt to violate the integrity and dignity of both you personally and the entire local government.

What is it really about? The mentioned amount refers to professional and necessary services: conceptual designs, project documentation, project reviews, professional supervision, parking study, geodetic mapping services, technical traffic regulations, expropriation studies during road reconstruction, hydrogeological surveys, and not to "appanage" or personal benefits as is being attempted to be presented.

Contracts for consulting services also apply to projects financed from EU funds where external consultants are needed. I urge the author of the article to publish all of them.

Milorad Kadić is a man without a stain in his career, a professional and a moral authority, who has dedicated his entire life to honest work and service to the community. His engagement in the Municipality of Danilovgrad is beneficial to every citizen because he is one of those who always gives constructive criticism, well-intentioned advice and who knows this city down to the smallest detail.

He was not detained for doing something dishonest or immoral, but because he was part of a procession and presented himself as one of the organizers of such a gathering. The second detention was in connection with the possession of a hunting rifle that he received as a gift at a public gathering, which was legally resolved with a public apology without any consequences for his integrity.

With this headline and insinuations, the media has done unacceptable damage to the reputation of an honorable man, and citizens are exposed to a false perception. Honest and honorable people must not be discredited by sensationalist manipulations.

Milorad Kadić is not a subject of criticism – he is an example of honesty, integrity and the fight for a better society. Everything else is slander and must be held accountable. All of Dudi Kadić's "sins" are the liturgies and the hunting rifle he gave, apparently 'Todor's', and if every former president of the Municipality of Danilovgrad had such a reputation and biography, we would not, as the new Administration, find ourselves with a multi-million dollar debt and destroyed companies, and a city without basic infrastructure.

"It is not good that such an influential media outlet, such as Vijesti, with tabloid and sensationalist articles damages and destroys the reputation that has been patiently built for years and which represented one of the foundations of its credibility in the public," said the reaction of Aleksandar Grgurović, President of the Municipality of Danilovgrad.
