Out of 31 councilors in the Kolašin Municipal Assembly (MA), as many as 13, mostly from the ruling majority, have not taken the floor once in the past two years, or during 14 sessions of the local parliament.
As many as 19 councilors never proposed a decision, and amendments, excluding a few councilors from the government, were mostly proposed by opposition councilors.
On the other hand, a few councilors stand out for their activity. In addition to the president of the municipal council Vasilija Bulatović, which, according to records provided by the Assembly Service at the request of “Vijesti”, had 51 presentations, the most active were councilors from the opposition movement Together We Build Kolašin (DPS, SD, SDP and non-party figures). Thus Marta Šćepanović had 49 discussions, Balša Cvetković and a young councilor Matija Bulatović 47 each, Bojan Zekovic 41 discussions Duško Šćepanović 29. He was also active Miodrag Vlahović, the only councilor of GP URA, which supports the government in Kolašin, who has been to the podium 27 times in two years.
The opposition is once again leading in terms of proposed amendments. Bulatović proposed 12 amendments, his colleague from the Movement Together We Build Kolašin, Šćepanović eight, Cvetković five... The most amendments from the governing councilors were proposed by the president of the municipal assembly, and in this way he reacted to the proposed acts three times.
At all 14 sessions of the Municipal Assembly, 10 councilors were present, and two opposition councilors have been absent from the work of the local parliament almost continuously.
Regardless of their activity, even those councillors whose only role was to occasionally raise their hand during a vote received a total of 6.480 euros in the past 24 months. The monthly councillor's fee is 270 euros, and councillors also receive an 18 euro per diem for attending sessions, meaning they could have earned an additional 306 euros just by showing up to the assembly hall.
The current governing coalition is the least active in comparison to all previous convocations over the past few terms. Most councilors from the government have rarely engaged in "crossing" arguments in polemics with opposition councilors.
The ruling majority in that city consists of nine councilors from the list "Vladimir Martinović - Let's Go People" (Democrats and United), four councilors from "For the Future of Kolašin", three each from PES and SNP, and one from the list URA and Free Citizens. The opposition benches include nine from the Movement "Together We Build Kolašin" (DPS, SDP, SD and non-party figures) and two from the Group of Voters Dr. Momčilo Vukčević.
