Together with the citizens, we prevented the crazy idea of the Government and Municipality of Budva to build apartments for the market on Slovenska beach and in Miločerski park, announced today the vice president of the Civic Movement URA, Blažo Rađenović.
"URA has always been with citizens and the civil sector in all places where our natural resources were protected and where resistance was offered against their devastation. We launched protests with citizens against the insane idea supported by the Government of Montenegro and the Municipality of Budva to build apartments for the market on Slovenska Beach. I also note that after the protest, at the initiative of the Budva URA, a Declaration on the Protection of Miločersko was adopted in the Budva Municipal Assembly," Radjenović pointed out in a statement.
He added that "URA will not give up on defending Sveti Stefan and Miločerski Park (which has also been declared a nature park) from the announced construction of apartments for the market, no matter what the price."
"URA will never give up on its principles, it will defend every inch of the state together with the citizens, wherever necessary and wherever the public interest is defended. URA's priority will remain adequate planning and use of space in Montenegro, as a key resource, and stopping illegal construction," said Radjenovic.
