The Commission for the Implementation of the Election of the President and Members of the Central Election Commission (CEC) today established a list of eight candidates who meet the legal requirements for these positions.
As announced on the parliament's website, the candidates for president and members of the CEC are Amer Šukurica, Boris Bastijančić, Veljko Vujović, Marija Raspopović, Muhamed Đokaj, Boris Vukašinović, Boško Nenezić and Gordana Mitrović.
The Commission decided to hold interviews with the candidates on February 10th in the main building of the Parliament of Montenegro.
The first competition for the election of the president and members of the CEC was unsuccessful.
The Commission, headed by Justice Minister Bojan Božović, announced on December 24th last year that they had unanimously decided that the only candidate for president from that competition did not meet the legal criteria.
