While members of the Europe Now Movement (PES), except for those in difficult financial circumstances, as well as students and pensioners, will pay an annual membership fee of 10 euros, the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) and the Democratic People's Party (DNP) have decided to exempt their members from paying this "fee" this year.
As stated on the website of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (ASK), parties, in accordance with the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns, were obliged to make a decision on the amount of membership fees for 2026 and submit it to that institution by January 31st at the latest. Data for all parties is not yet available on the website.
PES members pay an annual membership fee of 10 euros. Public officials of the party are required to pay a membership fee of five percent of their net salary earned while performing their duties. Members who are pensioners and students are exempt from the membership fee.
The decision they submitted to ASK states that members who are in difficult financial circumstances or who are unable to pay their membership fees for other reasons will be exempted from paying their membership fees in accordance with the decision of one of the members of the PES Presidency.
The decision submitted to ASK by the NSD states that the party's executive board, at its meeting on December 25th, in accordance with their statute, decided that membership fees would not be paid this year.
The DNP Presidency made the decision to not pay membership fees for 2026 at its meeting on December 22nd.
The Bosniak Party (BS) stated in a decision submitted to ASK that, in accordance with the decision of the party presidency, the minimum amount that members are obliged to pay monthly is one euro.
The membership fee for members of the municipal board is two euros, while members of the main board contribute three euros per month. Members of the presidency are obliged to support the party with five euros per month. Members who hold positions in government bodies at the state or local level, as well as in public enterprises, institutions or companies founded by the state or local government, are obliged to contribute three percent of their earnings per month, but no more than 10 percent of the average salary.
The decision submitted to ASK by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) states that elected officials on behalf of the party at the state and local levels are obliged to pay membership fees in the amount of five percent of their income.
"Elected officials who are in the management bodies (board of directors, councils, boards of directors) of institutions - companies are obliged to pay seven percent of their respective salaries. Employees of the DPS General Secretariat pay a membership fee of two percent of their salaries," the DPS decision states.
For other party members who are employed, the mandatory monthly amount for belonging to the party is one euro.

Members of the Democrats who are public officials at the state and local levels are required to pay a membership fee in the amount of 2,5 percent of their monthly income based on their public office, "where the total amount of the membership fee at the monthly level cannot exceed 10 percent of the average net salary". In this party, membership fees are paid once a month for the previous month, and no later than five days after the monthly income is earned.
According to the decision submitted to ASK by the Social Democrats (SD), the monthly membership fee for an employed party member is at least one euro. Officials who are elected on behalf of the party at the local or state level are required to contribute three percent of their salary monthly. Also, members who, in addition to their regular employment, perform an additional function in the public sector are required to pay 10 percent of their income on that basis.
The Presidency of the Democratic Alliance in Montenegro has decided to exempt all members of that party from paying membership fees for 2026 due to the difficult economic situation, and therefore they have not planned income on that basis.
