A successful path towards the European Union (EU) implies focus, determination and even more intensive development dynamics in all fields in the next ten months, said Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, stating that the rule of law and the final benchmarks in chapters 23 and 24 remain key to the process.
Spajić announced on the X network that he and Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević spoke with the Director-General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Geert Jan Kopman, about the results so far and the next steps in Montenegro's accession negotiations with the EU.
"The rule of law and the final benchmarks in chapters 23 and 24 remain key to the process, with encouraging progress already visible through regulatory changes and concrete court rulings," Spajić stressed.
He said that the country's European future is being secured through serious decisions and efficient administration.
"That is why our partners' recommendation is that this year we strengthen the personnel operational capacities of the police, inspection, agencies and other public services with 1.750 new employees, and next year with an additional 1.250," Spajić said.
