Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović will participate on Friday in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, one of the most important world forums dedicated to security and global political challenges.
In the presence of more than 50 heads of state and government, Milatović will, according to a statement from his office, confirm Montenegro's commitment to the European path and further strengthen support in the final phase of the negotiation process.
This year, the presence of United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who will lead the American delegation, has also been announced.
"The focus will be on European security, strengthening transatlantic cooperation, global geopolitical challenges, as well as the resilience of democratic societies in the face of contemporary security challenges," it was announced.
It is added that meetings are planned with European Council President Antonio Costa, European Union High Representative Kaja Kallas, as well as Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schupha, along with a series of talks with other senior officials from EU and NATO member states.
"In the circumstances of complex global challenges, Montenegro confirms its international position in Munich. The presence of President Milatović at this gathering represents a continuation of Montenegro's active diplomacy and a contribution to strengthening its credibility," it was announced.
