More than 400.000 euros for MPs' travel: People's representatives in the Parliament of Montenegro traveled half the world in 2025

The opposition Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), for nine MPs, collected 35.606,05 euros from the state treasury.

Travel expenses per MP from the Democrats amounted to 7.648,55 euros, and the ZBCG coalition “only” 3.946,97 euros. The opposition DPS is below the level of the government in terms of expenses calculated in this way, because each of its nine representatives spent an average of 3.956,22 euros on official travel.

PES MP Gordan Stojović has had three long stays abroad, which account for the largest part of his travel expenses in terms of money. First, he spent 11 days last February on the route Mater in Italy - Arizona (USA). This long trip cost Montenegro 6.841,97 euros. This MP then spent 25 days in Argentina in September, which cost the Parliament 6.276,64 euros, with daily allowances amounting to 1.067,85 euros and transportation costs around 3.600 euros. Stojović also stayed in Buenos Aires in December. For 7 days in Argentina, he withdrew 4.726,76 euros from the state treasury.

Dusko Stjepović (Democrats) made it to the upper house of parliament on the list of the most frequent travelers based on 10 trips that cost taxpayers 16.073,44 euros. This MP visited the USA twice, in Dayton and Washington, and other destinations were: North Macedonia, Turkey, Belgium, Denmark, Armenia, Slovenia and Italy.
