Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović spoke with EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Kaja Kalas within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
As Milatović wrote on the X network, the focus was on enlargement, geopolitical challenges, and the dynamics of EU accession.
"Montenegro, with 13 closed chapters, remains the most advanced candidate for membership in the European Union and wants to further accelerate the process by closing the remaining chapters by the end of the year. Special focus must be on chapters 23 and 24 - on real, measurable reforms in the area of the rule of law, as well as justice, freedom and security. I have invited the High Representative to visit Montenegro on the eve of the EU-Western Balkans Summit. Substance, not form, will be the measure of our success," Milatović wrote.
