The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, met today with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, as part of the events marking Kosovo's Independence Day.
As announced by Nimanbegu's office, during the meeting, the course of the electoral process, current political developments, as well as possibilities for future cooperation and institutional coordination, were discussed, with the aim of strengthening democratic processes and improving the region.
"The joy of the entire Municipality of Ulcinj on the occasion of the election of the new Government of the Republic of Kosovo is great. The vote was held at a critical and sensitive moment for Kosovo, while the formation of the new Government represents an important step towards the consolidation of democratic institutions and strengthening public accountability towards citizens," it was announced.
It is added that Nimanbegu sent Kurti congratulations on his new mandate.
"With the conviction that it will be marked by economic development, strengthening the rule of law, improving the security of Kosovo and the entire region, as well as the affirmation of national interests. Kosovo needs bold decisions, broad political cooperation and unwavering commitment to Euro-Atlantic integration. We wish you much success in your new responsibility, in the service of the citizens and the future of the Republic of Kosovo," it was announced.
