Ivanovic with Joaniki on the advantages of membership in the European Union

Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović spoke with Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral about the advantages of Montenegro's membership in the European Union.

As announced by the Government, in a conversation with Joaniki, Ivanovic emphasized that a significant amount of work lies ahead in order to implement the plan to complete the negotiation process by the end of 2026.

"In this context, it was emphasized that European integration represents a comprehensive process that relates to the entire society and all its factors, among which religious communities have an important and recognizable role," the Government announced.

It is added that during the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of preserving peace and stability, promoting tolerance, the importance of mutual respect between the state and religious communities, as well as developing trust and a joint contribution to overall social development.
