Relations between the Parliament of Montenegro and the National Assembly of Republika Srpska are recording continuous progress and cooperation is on an upward trajectory, and this is precisely the way to preserve and strengthen peace, stability and dialogue in the region.
This was assessed at a meeting between the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, and the President of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić.
As announced by the Parliament of Montenegro, Mandić paid a working visit to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska today, meeting with Stevandić, with whom he discussed the current political situation in the region and the world.
"At the beginning of the meeting, it was noted that relations between the Parliament of Montenegro and the National Assembly of Republika Srpska are recording continuous progress and that cooperation is on an upward trajectory, and that this is precisely the way to preserve and strengthen peace, stability and dialogue in the region," the statement said.
As stated, during the conversation, Mandić informed his interlocutor that in May this year, Montenegro will host a large Summit of Speakers of Parliaments of the Member States of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, where the focus will be on Montenegro's imminent membership in the European Union, but also, as it says, on support for all countries in the region, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Mandić added that he recently spoke with PAM Secretary General Serđo Pjaci on this very topic. In that context, President Stevandić expressed interest in the chamber he heads participating in the work of this international organization as an observer in the coming period," the statement concluded.
