Democratic Montenegro MP Boris Bogdanović provided the media with information about the assets of businessman Aco Đukanović, which are registered with the Real Estate Administration.
In the statement he submitted, he stated that it was part of Aco Đukanović's empire in the country, "without an empire outside of Montenegro."
"Could this have been earned legally? It could have been, but only if Montenegro had been a regulated state for decades, if tenders were clean, if loans were market-based, if contracts were public, if institutions were independent. And we all know they were not. That is why this is both a list of squares and an indictment against a system in which the state was an ATM," said Bogdanović.
He also asked "who is defending Aco Đukanović today".
"He is defended by those who defend their own past. He is defended by those who are afraid of the truth because the truth would pull the thread, and on that thread hang other people's careers, other people's salaries, other people's privileges, other people's 'merits'. He is defended by those for whom he was an umbrella. While that umbrella was above them, they could do anything, when it closed, they were left naked before the law. Who is on his golden list? On that list are votes, accidental employment, sudden careers, sudden real estate, inexplicable wealth, media campaigns and selective investigations that never reached the top," said the Democratic official.
He also asked who Aco Đukanović's associates were.
"A collaborator is also someone who is silent when they should be speaking. A collaborator is also someone who relativizes: 'it's not proven', 'it's not time', 'we won't go back to the past'. A collaborator is also someone who attacks anyone who asks the simplest question: where from," said Bogdanović.
He stated, among other things, that Aco Đukanović has 85 business premises with a total area of 20.077 square meters, five business buildings, seven apartments with a total area of 1.011 m2, 97 non-residential premises with a total area of 2.998 m2, three family residential buildings with a total area of 308 m2, a ground-floor building with an area of 579 m2, as well as forests, orchards, land....
Bogdanović also wondered how many governments Aco Đukanović formed, "even after August 30, 2020". Since the fall of the DPS, a total of three governments have been formed - and two of them were supported by the Democrats - the government of Zdravko Krivokapić and the current one of Milojko Spajić. They did not only support the government of Dritan Abazović, which was supported by the DPS.
"How many times has he changed his jersey, but kept the locker room? How many times has he lost elections, but kept the levers of power? How many MPs and councilors has he bought? How many times has he formally left, but essentially stayed, through personnel, through agreements, through centers of power, through 'people' in the system," Bogdanović asked.
He also stated that the property inventory does not include Aco Đukanović's ownership of companies in which he is the majority owner.
