Focus on European integration, economic cooperation and joint projects is imperative in relations between Montenegro and France, said Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
He said this in a post on the social network X, after a conversation with French Ambassador Anne-Marie Maske.
Spajić said that they reviewed Montenegro's progress in meeting the final benchmarks for closing negotiation chapters with the European Union (EU).
The meeting, he added, noted readiness for a dynamic process in the coming months.
"We are particularly pleased to be visiting France and meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, appreciating the efforts he is making in the field of defense and security of the entire Europe, including the initiatives he recently presented regarding the strengthening of the European security architecture and the nuclear security shield," Spajić said.
According to him, the excellent cooperation between the two countries in the fields of defense and healthcare is the basis for a long-term partnership in the field of infrastructure and other areas of common interest for the two friendly countries.
