An anti-Montenegrin government is on the scene in Montenegro, and all parties of the sovereign and state-building bloc have a shared responsibility to send such a government into the past, said the leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković.
According to a statement from the DPS, he said this during a working visit to Cetinje, where he discussed the current political situation in that city and country with citizens, members, and local officials.
Živković said that Montenegro has been experiencing a permanent political crisis for six years, which, as he stated, is culminating these days.
According to him, there is currently an anti-Montenegrin government on the scene.
"The backbone of this government is made up of PES, NSD and Democrats. And it is not an anti-Montenegrin government only due to its ideological profile and political history, but because they are daily and thoroughly destroying institutions and dismantling the state substance," said Živković.
They, he added, destroyed the economy and public finances.
"We have galloping inflation that has seriously threatened the standard of living of citizens. Projects have been halted and investors have been dispersed. Look at what the security sector looks like today, which criminals and fugitives mock daily," said Živković.
As he pointed out, there is amateurism at all levels. "And people who are not mature and competent to lead even a local community, let alone the state."
On top of all that, he added, this government, by adopting the Law on the Ministry of Interior and the National Security Agency, has entered into conflict with its own citizens, because it wants to stifle any critical speech through the abuse of the security apparatus.
Živković added that DPS is aware of its mistakes from the period of its rule and that it deservedly paid the price for them by going into opposition.
However, as he said, the citizens pay the price for what we have on the scene today.
"That is why we must jointly show responsibility to get out of this situation. We, when I say that I mean all parties of the sovereign and state-building bloc, have an obligation to put our differences aside in the next year and to work dedicatedly in every part of Montenegro to end this agony and restore normality to the social life of citizens," concluded Živković.
