DPS: Panic in the ranks of the government, Konjević canceled the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly session without explanation

After the Secretary for Urban Planning and Construction Inspection of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Vladislav Velaš, was arrested yesterday, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Miloš Konjević, suddenly, without explanation, canceled the continuation of the session that was supposed to begin this morning at 9:30 am, the municipal board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced.

They said that Konjević also canceled the Collegium session that was scheduled for nine o'clock.

"There is obvious panic in the ranks of the authorities, due to the inaction that we have continuously pointed out, which is why we announced a few days ago that we would request the Collegium to schedule a special session with only one point - Information on the construction of the Carine Hotel and the devastation of the coast in Baošići, in order to ensure the conditions for the citizens of Herceg Novi, who have been exposed to various manipulations and deceptions by the local authorities in the previous period, to find out the real truth," the statement reads.

It is clear, as they say in the Herceg Novi DPS, that the Novska Lista and the Democrats are trying to escape from that session and the confrontation of arguments, "because they know that the facts are on our side."

"However, it is clear that the Collegium will have to be held at some point and that our Club of Councillors will nominate the initiative in question at that meeting, because it is the right of both the Novi and Montenegrin public to know who is responsible for the devastation of the coast in Baošići by filling in the beach and building a hotel," the DPS said.

The Radio-Television Herceg Novi portal announced this morning that the continuation of the eighth regular session of the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly, announced for today, has been postponed, and that the new date of the session will be determined later.

At the previous session, which began last week, out of a total of 18 points, councilors voted on twelve, one was withdrawn, and five more remain, RTHN reminds.

The two remaining items relate to the work and functioning of the "Parking Service", one of which is the Proposal for a Decision on Approval of the Price of Services. The councilors also have a decision before them regarding the company "Water Supply and Sewerage". The agenda also includes councilor questions and answers, and under the item "Election and Appointments" there is a proposal for a resolution on the appointment of members of the endowment, or the "Aleksandar Duković" Foundation.
