This was announced today by the President of the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly, Miloš Konjević.

Konjević said this in response to today's statement by the Municipal Board (OO) of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Herceg Novi, which, among other things, states that, after the Secretary for Urban Planning and Construction Inspection of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, Vladislav Velaš, was arrested yesterday, Konjević suddenly, without explanation, canceled the continuation of the session that was supposed to begin this morning at 9:30, the municipal board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced.

"Allow me, in addition, to introduce you to two concepts that have been unknown to you for over 30 years - morality and the rule of law. On the moral side, it is time to clarify to citizens that the arrested investor, as well as the other Brkovićs, were not brought to our city by me, but by you and yours. The plans for the hotels for the arrested investor were also not drawn by me, but by you and yours. Not a single member or official of the Nova List is currently behind bars, but yours are, and I wish you never to end up there. Finally, it is morally correct not to try to cover up your own misdeeds by judging anyone in advance," Konjević said in a statement.

According to him, the rule of law we strive for creates panic among those who are guilty, not among those who do their job conscientiously.

He added that he is completely calm in the case.

"...And as the president of the representative body of the citizens of Herceg Novi, I decided to play a conscientious and pragmatic role in eliminating potential tensions and preserving social cohesion. That I was right is confirmed by today's decision to release the Secretary of the Secretariat for Urban Planning and Construction Inspection. Some others will not be so lucky. Restlessness and panic reign there, behind the door on which the rule of law will soon knock. I hope for the joy of all the citizens of Herceg Novi. Novi deserves it," he emphasized.

He also told the Herceg Novi DPS to check their official email addresses regularly.

"The Collegium will be convened in accordance with the rules of procedure. The text of the same can be found on the website of the Herceg Novi Municipal Assembly," he concluded.
