Ibrahimović with Isetov: Progress in relations between Montenegro and Kazakhstan through political dialogue

Relations between Montenegro and Kazakhstan are friendly and based on mutual appreciation and respect, said Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimović, adding that there is significant room for further improvement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP), Ibrahimović met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Arman Isetov.

"Ibrahimović emphasized that relations between Montenegro and Kazakhstan are friendly, based on mutual appreciation and respect, and that there is significant room for further improvement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest," the statement said.

He emphasized that today's visit represents a valuable contribution to the continued building of even stronger ties between the two countries.

"He particularly pointed out that the opening of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Podgorica in August 2024, headed by Consul General Gabiden Temirbek, is a clear indicator of good relations between the two countries, as well as a reflection of the commitment to further strengthening cooperation," the statement said.

Ibrahimović emphasized that today's political consultations between the Montenegrin and Kazakh delegations represent a significant opportunity to review the existing level of cooperation, finalize initiated activities and projects, as well as launch new initiatives.

"During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on several topics of common interest, including economic and cultural cooperation, with particular emphasis on cooperation within multilateral organizations," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Isetov said he was pleased with today's visit, especially in the year marking 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro's independence and the establishment of bilateral relations.

"He assessed that significant political contacts and institutional communication have been achieved, which confirms mutual willingness to maintain continuity and further improve relations between Montenegro and Kazakhstan," the statement said.
