Ambassador Dubravka Lalović presented her letters of credence to Prince Albert II of Monaco, thereby assuming the position of non-resident ambassador to the Principality of Monaco.
"During the conversation with the Monegasque sovereign, satisfaction was expressed with the friendly and substantive relations between Montenegro and the Principality of Monaco, with mutual readiness to further strengthen partnership and political dialogue, as well as to identify concrete initiatives that would contribute to the additional substantive enrichment of bilateral relations between the two countries," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
It is added that the importance of cooperation between small states in modern international relations was highlighted, as well as the potential for intensifying cooperation, especially in the areas of tourism, economy and sports.
"In this context, the importance of exchanging experiences and good practices in areas that represent development priorities of both countries was also highlighted. The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of multilateralism, dialogue and international cooperation in facing contemporary global challenges, confirming their commitment to fostering the principles of cooperation, solidarity and joint action," it was announced.
