The president of the Democratic People's Party (DNP), Milan Knežević, said he was pleased that Serbia, by purchasing military weapons, "is becoming the strongest military and economic power in the region."
Knežević met today with the Ambassador of Serbia to Montenegro, Nebojša Rodić.
As announced by the DNP, they discussed current political topics both in Montenegro and in the region.
"On this occasion, the DNP leader asked Ambassador Rodić to convey his congratulations to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić, and Chief of General Staff Milan Mojsilović on the occasion of yesterday's military exercises. Knežević particularly emphasized his satisfaction that Serbia, by purchasing military weapons, is becoming the strongest military and economic power in the region, which makes every Serb proud, regardless of the country in which they live," it was announced.
Knežević, it is added, expressed hope that official Montenegro will do much more to improve bilateral relations in the coming period and that he is also ready to make his contribution to that.
"President Knežević took the opportunity to invite Ambassador Rodić to the opening of the monument to Jesenjin on May 9th in the Municipality of Zeta, as well as the celebration of Victory over Fascism Day," it was announced.
