Mugoša: Intensify communication with EU members, and not resort to deliberate provocations

Montenegro's homework is to focus on the EU agenda, not to fuel ideological divisions and indulge ideological urges, said European Union MP Boris Mugoša.

He made this announcement on the social network X, commenting on the decision of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States of the European Union (COREPER) to approve the formation of a working group to draft the Treaty on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union.

Mugoša described the move as "great news for Montenegro and another confirmation of the European Union's determination regarding its enlargement policy."

"Our homework is to focus on the EU agenda, not to constantly stir up ideological divisions and heal ideological impulses, to pass European, not anti-European and anti-constitutional laws, to implement laws, not to obstruct their adequate implementation, to implement and accelerate, not to feign reforms, to strengthen dialogue and inclusion of all social structures, not to simulate democracy and label everyone who criticizes evident anomalies, to intensify communication with EU members, not to resort to deliberate provocations," he said in the post.

As he pointed out, this is a call for greater and more focused responsibility of all social actors who truly want Montenegro to join the EU in order to carry this process out efficiently to the end.
