Spajić: The government's reconstruction will happen very soon, it is acceptable for Borovinić Bojović to be the deputy prime minister

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said that the government's reorganization will happen very soon and that he finds it acceptable for the current President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, to be the Deputy Prime Minister.

"I have a great opinion of Ms. Borovinić-Bojović. She is acceptable at any time, but the reconstruction will take place the moment I inform the public about it. And that will be very soon," said Spajić, answering questions from journalists in the Parliament of Montenegro ahead of the Prime Minister's Office.

"Vijesti" recently announced that the President of the Capital City Assembly and former Minister of Health Jelena Borovinić Bojović could become the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of health.

According to one of the sources, Borovinić Bojović allegedly has the support of the ruling Europe Now Movement (PES), led by Spajić, to take on this position, especially due to, as he claims, the party's dissatisfaction with the work of Health Minister Vojislav Šimun (PES), "who has not done much to improve the healthcare system."

Another editorial source, from the government, said at the time that the name Borovinić Bojović was being floated for the vice-presidential position, but added that it was not yet clear what the position of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) was on the matter.

Spajić said today that he will find a solution for purchasing surplus milk as soon as possible and that the method of doing so will be announced to the public in the next 24 hours.

The Prime Minister, answering the question of whether he feels responsible for not signing the General Collective Agreement (GCA) and because 100.000 employees will be at the mercy of their employers starting tomorrow or after the holidays, said that workers will not be at the mercy of their employers and that they will be fully protected.

"They don't need to worry about that at all. We have accepted the increase in the calculation value of the coefficient from 90 to 100, with the condition that the coefficients are also aligned with the minimum wage. Because without that condition, only 40 or 50 thousand from the state administration and state-owned enterprises will receive an increase, and the private sector, or 260.000 workers, will not receive an increase. Why? Because every employer has the right to reduce coefficients after increasing the calculation value of the coefficient, and they have done so in the past for decades," said Spajić.

He said he wouldn't allow that.

"The only acceptable solution for us is to increase the salaries of all workers equally because we do not want to discriminate against the private sector, which has been discriminated against for decades. These are the people who are pulling, these are the people who work, who are pulling the country forward and because of whose work we as a country can survive, because they pay taxes," Spajić pointed out.

When asked if the unions said that what they were demanding also applied to the private sector, the Prime Minister said that was the case, but that employers had not accepted it.

"So there is no agreement in the social triangle, or social dialogue, and that's why until agreement is found. We are ready to continue the talks, of course, but there is no blackmail there. Let's sit down, let's talk. The government is a constructive partner and has shown that many times so far," said Spajić.

Speaking about the airport concession, Spajić said that the contract is clear and the concessionaire should pay 100 million, but that only technical details are being worked out.

The contract, he stressed, is ready for the Parliament, but it has one prerequisite, which is the signing of a side agreement with the Koreans, which obligates them to promote Montenegro in Korea and some other benefits for the country. He pointed out that the confirmation of their Board of Directors is also required.
