Montenegro's results in reform processes are partly the result of its partnership with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), said Foreign Minister Ervin Ibrahimović at a meeting with the Director of the Conflict Prevention Center at the OSCE Mission, Kate Feron.

Ibrahimović, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), welcomed the regular dialogue with OSCE officials and the quality cooperation with the Mission in Montenegro over the past two decades.

He emphasized that the results achieved in the reform processes were partly the result of the partnership with that organization.

Ibrahimović assessed that the adopted and implemented reforms in the country have contributed to the broader democratization of society, and paved the way towards NATO membership and the finalization of the process of accession to the European Union (EU).

"He particularly emphasized Montenegro's commitment to multilateralism, highlighting the value of the OSCE as an international framework for dialogue," the MFA said in a statement.

He stated that, in the year when Montenegro celebrates the 20th anniversary of the restoration of independence, the country plays an important role in the regional and wider framework, which is reflected in its chairmanship of the Berlin Process, the Western Balkans Fund and the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, while the country will host the EU-Western Balkans Summit.

This, as Ibrahimović added, is the result of many years of dedicated work and efforts by the Government towards further strengthening the country's reputation internationally.

Ibrahimović pointed out that Montenegro is recognized as a politically stable country and a reliable and constructive partner in international relations.

He, as stated, expressed his readiness for a new phase of relations that implies a more active role for Montenegro as a strong participant in multilateral frameworks.

Feron congratulated Montenegro on its achievements, highlighting the OSCE's commitment to supporting key reforms during the twenty-year partnership.

"She particularly emphasized that Montenegro, as a leader in the region in the EU accession process, sets an example for other candidate countries," the MFA said.

They stated that during the conversation, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on current processes in the OSCE and agreed to continue open and close communication with the aim of promoting the goals and principles of that international organization.
