Defense Minister Dragan Krapović announced today that for the leader of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, Rifat Fejzić, Petar Lazović and Ljubo Milović are not fascists, but the Army of Montenegro (AVCG) "collectively is due to individual violations of the Law and unacceptable acts."
"Mr. Fejzić, I condemn your intention to label the Army shamelessly and, in addition, I publicly ask you whether, when the media announced that police officer Petar Lazović, after the 2020 elections, requested that Pljevlja be delineated with a cross with four points, with the messages 'Move Turks' and in the village of Odžak with the message 'Srebrenica 92 Move Turks', you attacked Milo Đukanović, the leadership of the Police Directorate and the Police, suspecting them of fascism?" Krapović pointed out in a statement.
He reacted to Fejzić's comment on the case of a recording showing a soldier of the Army of Montenegro singing verses dedicated to the Chetnik commander Draža Mihailović, saying that if Montenegro is a civil state, "it cannot have a fascist army."
"When evidence emerged that police officer Ljubo Milović sang the song 'From the Head of Zeta to the City of Spuža', or rather the verse 'The Turks are wailing, the bullies are crying', and when expressions such as 'deri Turke', 'Turad', 'Bula' and 'Turcin' were used in those correspondences, did you then attack Milo Đukanović and the DPS that elected, appointed, promoted him and on whose behalf he worked? Or maybe you called the Police fascist. You didn't. At that time, Mr. Fejzić, people were mostly silent, then they relativized or looked for an excuse, because Lazović and Milović are not fascists for you, and the Army collectively is because of individual violations of the Law and unacceptable acts," Krapović stated in a statement.
