Krapović to Fejzić: What to expect from a man who remained silent and nodded to the Đukanović regime for three decades

Defense Minister Dragan Krapović said that the head of the Islamic Community in Montenegro, Rifat Fejzić, was "silent as if he had been watered down" during the rule of Milo Đukanović's regime.

He responded to Fejzić, who had previously said that the lack of condemnation of chauvinistic poems speaks volumes about the state of affairs in the department headed by Krapović.

"It is not good when the reis, who should be the voice of truth, reconciliation and moral consistency, in his first statement denies what indisputably happened in the first statement of the department I lead. But, honestly, that does not surprise me. What can we expect from a man who for three decades remained silent and nodded to the Milo Đukanović regime, while the officials of that system insulted and threatened members of the Islamic community in the most base and disgusting way, divided the people, sowed fear and poisoned Montenegro? Then, dear reis, we did not hear your voice. Then you were silent as if you were drowned," said Krapović.

Responding to Fejzić, he also stated that "you did not stand up against injustice, you did not defend the dignity of the people you are supposedly protecting today, you did not speak out when you should have had courage."

"That's why today, when you talk about morality and fascism, you must know that the public remembers your words, but even more your silence. And silence in the face of injustice lasts much longer than a single statement. In addition to the scandal with the statement about the fascistic Army, you have once again insulted the state by claiming that Islamophobic institutions exist. Dear Reis, such institutions have never existed, but there were such individuals whom you blindly patted on the back, and often listened to," said Krapović.
