You have submitted an initiative to make Mašković the vice president of the Capital City Assembly and to replace Borovinić Bojović.

The European Progress Party (SEP) submitted an initiative today for the head of the European Union councilors' club in the Capital City Assembly, Miloš Mašković, to be the vice president of the city parliament, Televizija Vijesti has learned unofficially.

According to the same information, SEP also submitted an initiative for the removal of the President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović.

"Vijesti" announced yesterday that Mašković will be nominated for the Speaker of the Podgorica Parliament.

According to this information, the decision was made at a meeting of part of the opposition - the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), the Party of European Progress (SEP) and the European Alliance.

At a meeting of the Podgorica opposition held on May 6, invited by the SEP, it was agreed that the European Union (EU) would nominate a candidate for vice president of the Capital City Assembly.

The City Assembly has not had a vice president since October 7th last year, when Movement for Podgorica councilor Dragutin Vučinić resigned from that position.

"Vijesti", citing multiple sources, recently announced that Borovinić Bojović could become the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of health.

The SEP officially announced that a request has been submitted to convene an urgent session of the Podgorica City Council.

"The European Progress Party submitted today to the President of the Assembly of the Capital City of Podgorica, Dr. Jelena Borovinić Bojović, a request to convene an urgent session of the Assembly with the following agenda:

1. Initiative for the election of the Vice-President of the Capital City Assembly (pursuant to Article 25 of the Statute and the need to ensure an unhindered presidency) and

2. Proposal for the dismissal of the President of the Capital City Assembly (pursuant to Article 13 of the Capital City Law and Article 79 of the Statute)," the SEP statement reads.

The party added that in the letter they are reminding us of the provision of Article 80, paragraph 1 of the Statute, according to which if the session is not convened within the prescribed deadline, the Assembly is convened by the proposers themselves.
