The ruling majority in Podgorica does not accept the initiative to elect the European Union councilor in the Capital City Assembly, Miloš Mašković, as the Vice President of the Assembly.
This message was sent from today's meeting of the President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, with the heads of the councilor caucuses of the parties that make up the majority in Podgorica. The meeting was also attended by the Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović.
It was announced at the meeting that a session of the Capital City Assembly will be held within 15 days to consider the initiatives launched by the opposition in the previous period - namely the initiative to dismiss Borovinić Bojović and the opposition's initiative to have their representative Miloš Mašković elected as Vice President of the Capital City Assembly.
The authorities have announced that they will have their own proposals.
The topic of the meeting was the current political situation in the capital, but also the initiative to dismiss Borovinić Bojović and the opposition's initiative to have Mašković elected as the Vice President of the Capital City Assembly.
The meeting did not discuss the possible introduction of compulsory administration in Podgorica.
The City Assembly has not had a vice president since October 7th last year, when Movement for Podgorica councilor Dragutin Vučinić resigned from that position.
"Vijesti", citing multiple sources, recently announced that Borovinić Bojović could become the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of health.
