Krapović: I did not show up at the session because I do not respond to calls from frivolous individuals

I did not appear at the meeting of the Security and Defense Committee because it would not occur to me to respond to the invitation of frivolous individuals who belong on the streets, said Defense Minister Dragan Krapović, according to a statement from his department.

He was reacting to the accusations of the chairman of that parliamentary body, Nikola Zirojević.

"Exactly as the esteemed State Secretary Radević said - the street. The street, primitivism, sexism, simply put, a narrow consciousness! I will not allow the institution I head to be the subject of disparagement by primitives who imagined that they could behave as they wanted, demonstrating the absence of elementary decency and dignity! The fact that MP Zirojević, even after several attempts, failed to chair the session of the Committee on Security and Defense clearly illustrates what kind of circus performer he is! Of course, I did not appear at the committee today because it would not occur to me to respond to the invitation of frivolous individuals who belong on the street, not in the Parliament of Montenegro," he said.

"Whenever he runs out of arguments, Zirojević resorts to insults and street vocabulary and starts to get complicated! This combination of a third-shift Twitter commentator and another library member from Radovan the Third has fallen lower than ever before, allowing himself to insult a woman with street and primitive vocabulary, sending a very problematic message that a woman is there for someone to hide behind her, i.e. behind her skirt, that according to him she obviously has no right to political engagement and polemics, sometimes certainly harsh polemics, but never below any acceptable level, as Zirojević fell," he adds.

Krapović called on the NGO sector, the Women's Club of the Parliament of Montenegro, but also everyone else in Montenegro to "condemn the shameful, primitive and insulting behavior of MP Zirojević towards State Secretary Radević."

"This primitive obviously thinks that it is a political argument that someone wears a skirt and someone wears trousers! Finally, the position that it will be as he says while he chairs the committee, I urge him to reconsider it because despite several attempts to actually chair the committee at a meeting and not just in his head, it has not happened yet! That tells him enough how seriously the public, colleagues and everyone else take him, he is obviously shouting 'move over, another member is coming' in vain," the Minister of Defence concluded.
