MVP: Russian provocations of Baltic countries a direct threat to European security

Russian provocations directed at the Baltic states are not isolated incidents, but a direct threat to European and Euro-Atlantic security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

"Montenegro condemns in the strongest terms the unacceptable threats, intimidation and hybrid warfare tactics that Russia is directing against the Baltic states. The provocations directed at Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania are not isolated incidents — they represent a direct threat to European and Euro-Atlantic security, as well as to the fundamental principles on which peace and stability in Europe are based. With such aggressive and destabilizing behavior, Russia is further endangering peace and stability throughout Europe," they said in a post on Iksu.

They add that, as a proud NATO ally, Montenegro fully stands with Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, confirming that "the security of the Baltic region is inseparable from the security of the entire Alliance."

"Any attempt to undermine the sovereignty, stability or democratic resilience of allied states is unacceptable and will be met with unity and determination. Montenegro remains firmly aligned with the European Union and fully committed to preserving long-term peace, stability and security across Europe," they said.
