Bojović announced the "recognition" of Kosovo in Pljevlja as well: We are trying to restore dignity to the people of Pljevlja

The Democratic People's Party (DNP) will also request a local parliament session in Pljevlja to discuss the "recognition" of Kosovo, DNP MP Vladislav Bojović announced at today's parliamentary session.

"I must proudly say that DNP, following the decision of the Municipal Assembly (MA) of Zeta to withdraw the recognition of the so-called Kosovo, has in the past few days initiated the collection of signatures to schedule a session of the local parliament in Pljevlja, where we will also seek a session at which I expect the decision on the shameful recognition of the so-called Kosovo to be withdrawn," he stated.

Bojović said that DNP is trying to "restore dignity" to the people of Pljevlja with this initiative.

"Followers of the former regime's policies think that we will forget Kosovo and Metohija and the stolen referendum. Well, we won't," said Bojović.

On May 12, councilors in the Zeta Municipal Assembly voted to annul the decision to recognize Kosovo in the territory of that municipality.

The declaration was voted for by councilors from the Democratic People's Party, New Serbian Democracy, Marko Vukčević from the Democrats, and independent councilors Nikola Rajović, Svetozar Ulićević, and Lidija Panić.

Councilors from the Democratic Party of Socialists did not attend the session, and before the vote, Democratic councilors Aleksandra Petričević and Luka Krstović left the hall.

The proposer of the decision, Nebojša Nikčević, said that the initiative was signed by 18 councilors.

He pointed out that the Zeta Municipal Assembly notes that all previous governments have ignored "the majority position of the citizens of Montenegro that Kosovo and Mechohija are an integral part of Serbia."
