Brnabić, Vučićević and BIA "persuade" Vučić not to go to Tivat, but he "won't even listen"

Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabić said late Wednesday evening that she tried to talk to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić about canceling his trip to Tivat for the EU-Western Balkans Summit, but that "he doesn't even want to hear about it," BETA reports.

"I'm currently having dinner with Vučić and Košta, but I'm more on the phone than at dinner, I'm seriously worried. I tried to talk to Vučić, but the president doesn't even want to hear him give up on his trip to Montenegro. He always keeps his words and promises, and that's important to him for the sake of our people, but also for his European partners. There's no chance of me convincing him not to travel," Brnabić told TV Informer.

The Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA) officially announced last night that they had advised Vučić not to travel to Montenegro due to the high security risk. They based their statement on their operational information that the leader of the Kavač clan, Radoje Zvicer, is in Montenegro.

After a group of Serbian citizens was banned from entering Montenegro at the Tivat airport yesterday, Informer editor Dragan J. Vučićević asked Vučić not to go to the summit in Tivat.

Vučićević called the expelled "athletes" and "patriots".

"No one here is naive and no one here is crazy enough not to see that something is happening, and that is what seriously concerns me. My constitutional responsibility as the President of the Parliament is to deal with this issue most seriously, and I find it especially incredible that we have people in Serbia, such as Borko Stefanović or Pavle Grbović or other people, blockers from the former government or blockers from the faculty, who reveled in this, who rejoiced in this, who immediately saw fit to attack Serbia and President Vučić, again," Brnabić said on Informer.

"So, all of this is something that suggests that it is not safe for the president to travel to Montenegro tomorrow. Unfortunately, he does not want to hear it and I believe that he will travel primarily because of his responsibility towards Serbia," added the Serbian Parliament Speaker.

Brnabić also said that due to the overall situation, an extraordinary session of the SNS executive board was held, at which party comrades tried to persuade Vučić not to travel on Thursday, but to go only on Friday, not to spend the night in Montenegro, but to only be at the conference.

"I spoke to Milan Knežević three times tonight, who told me, and I quote: 'It's better for him to go to Gaza than come here.' In addition, I think people should know that President Vučić is traveling tomorrow with minimal security. I don't think more than seven people from his security will be able to travel with him," Brnabić told TV Informer.
