Vreva claims he had a heart attack due to mobbing by the head of the municipality, Smolović denies: The truth cannot be hidden with performances

Former director of the Logistics Administration and Social Democratic Party (SDP) official Mujo Vreva was hospitalized yesterday afternoon in the Bijelo Polje hospital, after, as he claims, he suffered a heart attack due to mobbing by the Mayor of the Municipality, Petar Smolović.

Smolović strongly rejected the accusations as unfounded and announced the lawsuits immediately after Vreva's recovery.

Vreva claims that he was politically moved to a personal level after his activism and opposition to the construction of the Regional Waste Management Center at the "Klina" site.

After local councilors voted on a decision to identify potential locations for the construction of a regional waste management center in the Zaton settlement, he resigned from his position as director and from the party.

Locals of the Zaton MZ protested the construction of the Regional Waste Management Center, and yesterday, while clearing an overgrown Muslim cemetery, located on one of the two plots of land for the future construction of the regional center, 56 of them discovered several tombstones, most likely from the early Ottoman period, as Vijesti reported. Vreva told Vijesti that he feels better and that he will emerge from this even stronger in the fight for the preservation of a healthy environment. In his response to "VIjesti", Smolović stated that Vreva's accusations are unfounded, but that at this point he will refrain from giving specific responses to the claims, "respecting the fact that the psycho-physical health of each of us is above anything else."

Smolović wished Vreva a speedy recovery, but, due to the seriousness of the insults, announced a lawsuit.

"All I will say is that I wish him a speedy and complete recovery. And after he, I hope, recovers successfully, there will be room for the facts to speak, with evidence and witnesses. The truth cannot be covered up with performances!", Smolović pointed out.

The hospital confirmed to "Vijesti" that Vreva had a heart attack.
