Miloš Mijanović (35), an alleged member of the Balkan drug cartel's Skaljra cell, was arrested in Tivat.
The Police Directorate announced that police officers from the FAST team, together with the Podgorica and Tivat security departments, today deprived the internationally wanted person - a member of an organized crime group - of his liberty.
"In a precisely planned action by officers of the Department for International Operational Police Cooperation INTERPOL - EUROPOL - SIRENE / Group for Search Activities and International Targeted Searches FAST, carried out after coordinated activities of several months with officers of the Podgorica Security Department and the Tivat Security Department, MM (35) from Cetinje, a member of an OKG from Montenegro, was arrested today," the UP announced.
They explain that this is an internationally wanted person, for whom the NCB Interpol Podgorica has issued a red international arrest warrant, pursuant to an order of the Higher Court in Podgorica, in order to ensure his presence in the criminal proceedings being conducted against him before this Court, on suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, together with four other persons.
"The joint tactical operation of the targeted deprivation of liberty of MM was successfully carried out in Tivat, after the collected evidence and operational information with a high degree of accuracy about the location where this person could be. MM will be taken to the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions in Spuž," the UP announced.
