Tivat Operational Team for the Preparation of the EU-Western Balkans Summit is satisfied with the achievements

Members of the Tivat Municipal Operational Team for the Preparation and Coordination of the EU-Western Balkans Summit expressed great satisfaction with the way the entire event was organized and implemented.

The operational team met yesterday to evaluate the activities carried out in the field and define areas that could be further improved in similar circumstances in the future.

"All services, authorities, companies and individuals who participated in the organization of the event at the local level showed an enviable level of responsibility, efficiency and dedication. I would like to thank you all most sincerely. We have shown that we can respond to the very complex requirements of an event of the highest diplomatic rank, such as this Summit," said the Mayor of Tivat, Željko Komnenović.

He conveyed to the members of the Operational Team the gratitude of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, for their contribution to the successful organization of the Summit.

"What is particularly important to me is that citizens were informed in a timely manner, that there was no dissatisfaction, but on the contrary - our fellow citizens recognized the importance of the event, showed exceptional responsibility and expressed satisfaction with the way everything was organized. Thank you to them for that," Komnenović emphasized.

The Head of the Tivat Security Department, Mitar Tadić, also thanked the people of Tivat for their cooperation and understanding. He expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation with all services that responded in a timely and professional manner. The police and the Municipal Police acted in a coordinated manner at all positions, while the Municipality of Tivat sent letters of gratitude to the municipalities of Budva, Bar and Herceg Novi for the assistance provided in terms of personnel and equipment.

"We will see the full effects of the Summit that was just held in the months ahead. I am particularly pleased to hear that Tivat has become a symbol of Montenegro's accelerated European path. We have successfully presented our greatest values ​​to Europe - the destination, natural beauty and people," said the manager of the Municipality of Tivat, Ivona Petrović, who was also a member of the state Coordination Body for the organization of the Summit. The event will have a huge positive impact on the promotion of Montenegro and Tivat as a tourist destination, agree the members of the Operational Team.

The Director of Tivat Airport, Ivan Rakočević, also expressed his satisfaction with the successful implementation of the event, stating that the Airport served 30 diplomatic aircraft on the day of the Summit, with regular and uninterrupted passenger air traffic. No delays were recorded for passengers on scheduled flights, and the segment of directing passengers to the water terminal was also implemented without any difficulties.

On June 4th and 5th, all employees of the Secretariat for Inspection and Communal Supervision were engaged in the field, with a special focus on the Tivat Airport area.

All planned activities of the Utility Company were implemented in accordance with temporary traffic restrictions. During the Summit, increased activity was recorded in the area of ​​Tivat Airport. The protection and rescue service was on full alert, without a single incident or need for intervention.

The parking service made all necessary preparations in a timely manner and made its resources available to the event organizers, which is why this municipal company also assesses that the organization of the Summit was successful and without difficulties.

Porto Montenegro Operations Director, Desko Portić, stated that everything went according to plan at the event site, and that he had the honor of speaking with the Summit participants, who expressed great satisfaction with what they saw and experienced in Montenegro. Numerous compliments were received at the Regent Porto Montenegro hotel, where the Summit was held. Portić praised the way in which the public was informed about important service information leading up to and during the Summit.
