DNP: PES confirms that the agreement was never their intention, DPS has its own mayor with Mujović

The Democratic People's Party (DNP) announced that the Europe Now Movement (PES) confirmed that the agreement was never their intention, and that their goal with the blackmail was to place Podgorica under compulsory administration.

The DNP also said that Mayor Saša Mujović, as a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), was elected dean, and that the DPS currently has its own mayor.

They said this in response to this morning's PES statement.

"The Democratic People's Party (DNP) does not want to honor the obligations from the agreement they signed, but they do not mind seeking votes for the seat of President of the Capital City Assembly," PES announced this morning.

"The Democratic People's Party would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to our colleagues from PES because they confirmed in their statement that the agreement was never their intention and that with the conditioning and blackmail that we support Saša Mujović, their sole goal was to put Podgorica into compulsory administration. Only those who have had this cooperation all along can criticize the DNP for its cooperation with DPS. Thus, Saša Mujović was directly elected dean from DPS as a cadre of Duško Marković, then received an apartment, and then became mayor. So, at the moment, the DPS has its own mayor, albeit a former one, and in a reserve position just in case. And let's not talk about the latest scandal and the appointment of Vesna Radulović, a DPS member from the bottom of the barrel, as president of the Board of Directors of FC "Budućnost", which officially hit rock bottom for this football institution," the DNP statement emphasizes.

They also asked whether we should remind the PES councilor, Dejan Rabrenović in Budva, who, together with DPS and Nikola Jovanović, forms the councilor majority in that city.

"DNP has never been in either formal or informal coalitions with DPS, just as we have not been in a coalition with PES and Saša Mujović, who has turned the entire city into a hostage because of his position, since the end of January. Our offer was open, presented to the public and former coalition partners, we do not want a forced administration in Podgorica, and we are not the only ones from the former coalition who have such an attitude. And the fact that they in PES are afraid for their positions is not our problem at all, because DNP has no obligations to anyone, except to the citizens who have given us support. That is why we call on them to deny us and support Srđan Perić, to whom they previously offered a coalition. It will not be that Perić is now unacceptable because we support him, and he was acceptable as an entity that was supposed to throw us out of power in Podgorica," the statement reads.

They claim that they are well-intentionedly advising their colleagues from PES to give up on Saša Mujović.

"... Because his personal burden, frustrations and animosities that he does not hide towards everyone who disagrees with him, will lead this party to a political landfill where it will not be able to be sold even as scrap metal," the DNP statement concluded.
