Borovinić Bojović: DNP is becoming a voting servant and political handmaiden of DPS in Podgorica

The Democratic People's Party (DNP) is becoming the voting servant and political handmaiden of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in Podgorica, announced today the former President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinić Bojović.

She said this in response to the DNP's announcement earlier today that "Borovinić Bojović must pay for his media wages with attacks on our party."

"Response to DNP: A volley of insults, a torrent of untruths and today's panicked spreading of lies without shame or consideration, have only one goal: to cover up the irrefutable fact that DNP is becoming a voting servant and political handmaiden of DPS in Podgorica. That is the main purpose of their vulgar clamor and the main reason why DNP decided to overturn the container of untruths on the public. And that is why I am not surprised that in this desperate attack, in addition to me, they also attacked my closest people, commenting even on photos of my child from the competition in which he won first place," Borovinić Bojović pointed out in a post on the social network Facebook.

She added that as a doctor, she knows very well how panic affects people.

"And I understand where this hysteria is coming from. It is no coincidence that they have seized on my previously used metaphor about the spotlight, because they have been illuminated and exposed. When they say that the spotlight is only a 'burnt out bulb', they actually think that the citizens have lost their sight, and that the DNP will manage to divert their attention by putting on a farcical show. They will not. They are not defending Podgorica from the forced administration, but the DPS. And they are doing so on orders," Borovinić Bojović stated.

She said that she is not in the "Bermuda Triangle of parties", but that "the DNP is torn between the demagogy they sell, the addresses that are superior to them, and the factors to which they owe obedience."

"Numerous members of the DNP are victims of such a situation, and that is why more and more are leaving it. Today's statements, not only those addressed to me and my family, but also to others, are the best testimony to the values ​​on which the new majority in Podgorica is being established. I could respond in a similar way, harshly, crudely, only instead of untruths, I would announce the truths, everyday ones, and about what my family's relationship was towards the DNP, from my husband to all of us individually, but that would mean stooping to a very low level and accepting a circus and distraction. Instead, I will give the DNP the opportunity to confirm the untruths in court," said Borovinić Bojović.

She said that the DNP will have to explain to citizens why it continues to try to pass off the event as a democratic act.

"They are suddenly worried about Podgorica, you might think, and that worry will last as long as the one about Zeta, which they no longer mention. I want to tell them directly: With lies and deceit about others, you will not save yourself, hide your own political and moral defeat, or answer the question of confused voters who cannot understand your naked cooperation with yesterday's opponents. If recent political experiences have taught us anything, it is that the politics of incident and confusion are short-lived, and that, once the dust settles, only the results remain, and only then can you see who, in life, politics, and the profession, has worked honestly, exemplary, and conscientiously. And about reputation, personal and professional, credibility, and abilities, far from inappropriate tirades and bad humor, citizens are the best ones to decide and recognize. After all, they know best what I am like, and my entire family is like," Borovinić Bojović wrote on Facebook.
