The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) will support Preokret movement councilor Srđan Perić for the post of head of the Podgorica parliament.
This was unofficially confirmed to "Vijesti" by the club.
In order for Perić to be a candidate for the President of the Capital City Assembly, he needs to receive 20 votes. In order to be the President, he needs to be voted for by 30 councilors.
"Vijesti" wrote yesterday that the Capital City Assembly could convene next week.
According to the same editorial sources, the collegium of heads of councilor clubs, during which the agenda items will be agreed upon, will be held on Monday, June 15.
Even on June 10, the parties within the ruling majority were unable to agree on a candidate for the President of the Capital City Assembly.
Jelena Borovinić Bojović resigned as President of the Capital City Assembly on May 26th.
The Capital City Assembly has not been in session since April 16th.
