The Venice Commission noted that a significant part of their recommendations were accepted and successfully incorporated into the text of the Draft Law on the Government, said Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj.

In a post on Iks, he stated that at the plenary session of the Venice Commission, the Montenegrin delegation had the opportunity to present arguments and positions regarding the latest opinion on the Draft Law on the Government.

The Minister of Public Administration said that the assessment of the Venice Commission is encouraging.

"This confirms the commitment of the institutions to improving the legislative framework in accordance with the highest European standards. Productive and constructive dialogue with international partners represents an important contribution to strengthening institutional stability, the rule of law and democratic processes in Montenegro," Dukaj said.

He said that he expects the Parliament of Montenegro to adopt the Law on Government as soon as possible.

"This will give our country, for the first time in recent history, a modern and comprehensive legal framework for the work of the Government. We continue to build strong and responsible institutions, in the interest of all citizens," the minister concluded.
