Đeljošaj: The Forty-Fourth Government has charted Montenegro's European path

The forty-fourth Government of Montenegro has charted Montenegro's European path and shown that historic results can be achieved through dedicated work, reforms and responsible policies, announced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Đeljošaj.

He made the announcement on the occasion of the provisional closure of two chapters at the Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg.

"At today's Intergovernmental Conference in Luxembourg, Montenegro closed Negotiation Chapter 28 - Consumer and Health Protection, thus taking another important step towards membership in the European Union. This is the sixth negotiation chapter closed under the leadership of the Ministry of Economic Development," the statement said.

As Đeljošaj pointed out, today is a special day for Montenegro.

"The forty-fourth Government of Montenegro has charted the European path of our country and shown that historic results can be achieved through dedicated work, reforms and responsible policies. I congratulate all citizens of Montenegro, all members of the Government, and especially the team of the Ministry of Economic Development that I lead, on the successes achieved and the results that we achieve together," he said.

According to him, when one ministry manages the closing of six negotiation chapters, the results speak for themselves.

"This is confirmation that responsible work, commitment to reform, and a clear European vision yield concrete results," he said.

"The Ministry of Economic Development has fully completed all obligations under its jurisdiction within Chapter 1 - Free Movement of Goods and Chapter 8 - Competition Policy, confirming its key role in the European integration process," the statement added.

"Montenegro's European path is no longer a matter of plans and promises, but of measurable results. The reforms we are implementing today open the doors to a European future for our citizens. We continue at the same pace, because our goal is clear: Montenegro as the next member of the European Union," concluded Đeljošaj.
