Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Bečić congratulated the Executive Director of the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS) Vanja Ćalović on the occasion of receiving the prestigious Italian award "Giorgio Ambrosoli".
This award, as Bečić states, is given for integrity and professionalism in protecting the rule of law.
"This significant international recognition bears the name of Đorđe Ambrosoli, a man who, through his life and deeds, has become a symbol of the fight against all forms of crime and corruption, the fight for legality and the rule of law," said Bečić.
He also said that he is convinced that strengthening the rule of law, fighting crime and corruption, as well as building responsible and strong institutions are priorities for our society.
"...And the common goal of all who want a European and orderly Montenegro in which law and justice are above every individual interest, and the contribution that Ms. Vanja Ćalović has made over the past decades since the founding of MANS represents an important part of that path. Therefore, I take this opportunity to once again extend my sincere congratulations to Ms. Ćalović, with wishes for new recognition and much success in her further professional work!", the statement concludes.
