PNP concerned about the situation at SC "Ada" after the account was blocked and the electricity was turned off

The initial board of the People's Trust Movement (PNP) Pljevlja expressed serious concern about, as they state, the increasingly difficult situation at the "Ada" Sports Center, which, after the recent account blockage, had its electricity disconnected today, which has called into question the normal functioning of the sports hall and the work of numerous sports teams, recreational athletes and citizens who use its facilities.

The PNP assesses that it is unacceptable that in a city that has been presenting itself for years as an important development center of Montenegro, basic conditions for the operation of one of the most important sports institutions cannot be provided.

"While we hear promises of new investments, energy projects, infrastructure development and the economic revival of Pljevlja, we are simultaneously witnessing the extinction of basic conditions for the functioning of sports and activities for young people," the statement said.

This political organization points out that the problems at the "Ada" Sports Center did not arise overnight, but that debts and warnings about the institution's difficult financial situation have been accumulating for years, without an adequate response from the authorities.

The PNP called on the Government of Montenegro, the Ministry of Finance, the Municipality of Pljevlja and other competent institutions to urgently take measures to unblock the Sports Center's account, settle the most urgent obligations and enable the smooth operation of the sports hall.

"True development involves taking care of existing institutions, preserving sports infrastructure, and creating conditions so that children and young people have a place to train, progress, and develop healthy lifestyle habits," the PNP said.

They believe that, if the state and local government are unable to provide the basic conditions for the operation of the "Ada" Sports Center, the question rightly arises as to how realistic the promises about large development projects that are presented to the public are.

The People's Trust Movement announced that it will continue to point out problems that affect the quality of life of citizens and insist on the responsibility of all those who, as they state, have contributed to this situation through their actions or inactions.
