Milatović received applause from MEPs: "Our country's message resonated in the heart of European democracy"

Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović received a standing ovation from members of the European Parliament (EP) after addressing them today.

"A strong applause in the European Parliament for Montenegro and its European future. After President Jakov Milatović's address in Strasbourg, our country's message resonated in the heart of European democracy: Montenegro is ready to become the 28th member of the European Union by 2028. Today, Europe heard Montenegro, determined, responsible and ready for a historic step forward," it was announced on Milatović's Instagram profiles.

In his address to the EP members in Strasbourg, Milatović said that Montenegro's accession to the European Union (EU) will be a shared success and proof that reforms are leading towards the goal and that Europe's common future remains open to those who share the same values.
